Why "Smock and Ballpoint"?
A black ballpoint pen is my desert island disc of drawing utensils.
I also like the quotes about art being a type of lie.
The name was going to be a play on "cock and bull" story - cock and ballpoint. I even designed a nice logo.
A last-minute internet search, and quick informal poll, revealed that this combination of words had connotations not entirely relevant to my work. Smock and Ballpoint was a rhyming, but totally arcane, substitute.
When ordering several items, how can I reduce postage and packaging costs?
Shipping costs include both postage and packaging. If, when you place your order, the shipping costs are prohibitively high, please get in touch via convos.

About our wall decals
Our wall stickers, printed on quality Grafiprint digital inkjet media, do not fade or discolour, are easy to apply, and are an ideal way to add a touch of colour, interest, and charm to any room. Decals are sent with simple instructions for use.
Wall vinyls do not leave residue, and are easy to remove. If they seem difficult to remove, gentle warming with a hairdryer can aid removal. Removal should not damage your walls. We advise waiting 2 wk to apply after painting. Poor plaster / paint, weak, or otherwise damaged wall surfaces can affect ease of application and removal. We do not accept responsibility for damage associated with the removal of decals. These vinyl wall decals can be used outdoors, and are, generally, not reusable.
Custom and personalised decals
We offer the opportunity to have "custom" designs painted, and printed as wall decals. Provided that your choice of illustration has reasonable popular appeal (i.e. the image can be used elsewhere in store), we charge no extra for this service.
We can also offer hand painted decals.

Applying wall decals to newly decorated rooms
Before applying wall decals to newly decorated rooms, it is important that the paint and / or new plaster is completely dry. While paint may be dry to the touch in hours / days, we recommend waiting 2-4 weeks before applying decals to newly painted walls, to ensure full thickness drying has occurred.
With chalk-based paints, we suggest waiting 6 weeks, as chalk-based paints appear to be more susceptible to peeling on removal of decals.
Coupon codes
Coupon codes are for the use of the recipient. Only one coupon code can be used against any single order. If you have any issue redeeming your coupon code please do contact me via Etsy convos prior to purchasing.
Shipping address issues
Please check the shipping address carefully and get in touch if there are any issues. If the shipping address provided is incorrect, I cannot accept responsibility for the failure of your items to arrive. All packages are sent with a clear return address. If the items are returned to me I am happy to resend them to the correct address, provided that the shipping costs are covered by the customer.
Delivery times and re-shipping on international orders
International orders are shipped standard airmail, unless you choose to upgrade to Tracked shipping. While the delivery aim is 5-7 working days from shipping, I cannot be responsible for delays within the postal service, particularly delays at customs within the destination country. Royal Mail will consider a parcel lost 25 working days after the expected delivery date. Lost items will be re-shipped once a claim for lost mail has been placed with Royal Mail. I am happy to offer re-shipping, not refunds, on any lost or stolen mail.
Where is my order?
I appreciate that waiting for deliveries, especially from overseas, can be frustrating. Please rest assured that I will do my utmost to ensure you receive your order.
Invariably I ship orders on / before the dispatch date. I contact each of my valued customers to notify you that I have shipped your item.
International orders typically 5-7 working days to arrive in the destination country. At this point your items will pass through customs, where they may be delayed. Subsequently, your domestic postal service will transport the item to your destination address. Please be aware that, unless you upgrade your postage to Tracked, I am unable to provide information on your parcel's whereabouts during the journey.
